It's the only way supervillains know how to live.

[She has to laugh at that.] Very dangerous. You need to protect your lair. Big screen video security systems are also a plus.

Get creative? Take the Ancient Egyptians, for example. They knew how to booby trap a tomb better than modern day bank security.

Traps and the occasional aggressive beast is usually enough to dissuade most adventurers. [ ... all the same, did she really want to booby trap Griffin's room against people entering? ] Maybe I'll pick up a book on their tombs, and see for myself what they did.

Most of what I know about lairs like that is from what I've heard from travelers and bards. You really think lairs are just for 'supervillains'?
