[Kazuhiko is resting, with his NV at arm's length, as the feed turns on. There's a small bustling around him- a cafe, maybe. He's in a booth, the decor is warm, the lighting that comfortable low that makes people feel content to stay. The glasses perched on his nose, and the stoic, but softened expression relay who it is that's in control at the moment. He looks tired, worn, not as rigid as is normal but only from a lack of energy. The past few days- since the black out- have been taxing, filled mostly with muddied awareness. Waking only when there was movement in the apartment, he'd been able to prepare meals and hold conversation, though hardly any of it is clear enough to recall. His trip outside is meant to try and clear his mind. But the subjects he's been reading about weigh as heavy as his mental exhaustion.]
It doesn't seem to have an end, does it? It only seems to lull. Before one situation can even be processed, another erupts. [A troubled pause.] And more people die.
[He glances away from the screen to nod once and accept a steaming cup of tea from the waiter. It's settled down, and disregarded in exchange for his message.]
I can't help but feel that everything is connected, somehow. The Saint Valentine murders and the murders of couples prior, the recurring Plaster murders, the black out and explosion to follow... The new monster that lurks and the 'vampire' attacks... escaped prisoners... [He's losing sequence. There's a long pause before he refocuses.] All within the last month...
It's hard not to feel like this is something larger than what it seems. [Another pause, this time due to hesitance.]
Are there records of any kind on the Core affecting minds?
