oo1 | voice ; after the sirens.

Jan 26, 2011 19:09

[ There is a near-inaudible onslaught of grunts, as well as the sound of stumbling upon grass. Ragged breaths accompany this, but it's taking a while for any actual speech to begin. The communication device suddenly emits to the listener a thud, signifying that it has been dropped. Several gunshots are heard; Leo is struggling to aim properly ( Read more... )

[Elliot was just about to turn into bed early to just sleep his thoughts away. But all that came to an end when he heard a familiar voice. It took him a minute to actually believe what was happening..]

[This can't really be happening, can it?! That voice, he knew it very well.. but. Last time he saw Leo his mother was about to..!

No, remember what Gilbert said. 'Don't worry about it because it isn't here.' He's looking at his NV now and--]

[Leo didn't look like he was in the state fight against anything out there, what was that idiot doing?! He couldn't do anything right now but he was already jolting out of bed to get his sword.]

You dumbass, find some shelter!

[ This voice is very familiar; he knows nearly instantly who it belongs to. Before responding, the sound of button pressing is heard - he's putting the volume up. ]

..Elliot?

What's your status? Do you require assistance?

[Liquid is all business when it comes to the monsters.]

There may be more of them nearby. The city is overrun this time of night.

I believe I do.

[ He coughs, catching his breath for a moment. ]

What do you suppose would be the best case of action? Shall I find a temporary shelter and wait it out?

There are shelters near the baseball diamond that are warded, but whether they'll open up this far after the sirens is unknown. Your best bet would be to head to the tower apartments. They won't leave until morning.

I'm heading to the baseball diamond. Do you require medical assistance at all?

Well then.. [ Uneven breathing interrupts his speech. He mostly talking to himself. ] I suppose that in this place, daytime is the safest time..

[ He begins running, as signified by the rapid stepping heard, towards a myriad of buildings by the edge of the field. His voice is jolted by his running. ]

As far as I am aware, I only received minor bruising as of yet, so I should be fine without medical assistance.

I repel most of them.

If I'm needed, I'll come.

[ Some coughing is heard. ]

What do you suppose is the easiest method of warding them off..?

For most people, use of violence or use of abilities is the only way. That or stealth. My ability is that - an ability.

[the coughing bothers him]

I'll come, if needed. It won't take long.

Ah.. [ He hums silently, before shooting at the creature a few more times. ]

That would be very helpful.

[ At the sound of that voice, he nods, even though it is not visible. ]

Do you know where this place is..?

[ Thudding upon grass is heard, quick and without rhythm, with infrequent sounds of gunshots. ]

Furthermore, do you know how I arrived here?

[ Nonsense! He will continue to question! ]

Yes.. How many others are here? Is it just you and Elliot, or..

[ He pauses to scan his surroundings. It's clear - for now. ]

..Are there others that we know here?

[Careful where you step, Leo. You were about to trip over Tove, but luckily for you the badger chain moved out of the way.]

Rwrrrrrr!!

[Hear that? P.O.'d badger. Ignore the fact that he has two tails an abnormally sharp claws. Just don't shoot at him and he might decide to help you with those monsters that are getting closer.]

[ Okay, he is actually somewhat startled by the sound. He looks down to see the little thing, keeping in the back of his mind the seriousness of his current status. ]

..How did you get here?

[ He looks back up to check for any oncoming danger, making sure his pistol was cocked and ready. ]

[The badger doesn't seem as nervous or worried about the presence of monsters in the vicinity. He knows his claws and speed outmatch the creatures currently patrolling the area. He has a much better chance than Leo of surviving the night; never mind the fact that he can only be killed by other chains.

But he approaches with a few quick paces before stopping to cock his head. He sort of remembers you, Leo. He'd been hidden in that lower basement in Lutwidge, but he remembers you then shooting at Miss Lotti. Tove paws the ground, not sure if he should leave a few swiped gashes across the scruffy human's throat or abandon him to the monsters that were starting to close in.

Oh, what would Fang do in this situation? Probably help... Or something.]

[ Entirely opposite to Tove's current state, Leo is attempting to remain alert, constantly squinting, trying to see further into the darkness. He, on the other hand, is in definite danger; he is running low on ammo, and cannot risk shooting at a shadow that he thought he saw moving. He'd have to confirm the movement before shooting now, to conserve his ammunition.

He looks down at the chain for a moment, watching its actions. Unsure of his intentions, Leo noted that the badger was most likely not on great terms with him, but it was the least of his worries at the moment.

That didn't stop him from kneeling, though. ]

Do you perhaps know of a way out of this mess..?
