004 (Voice)- Post-Sirens
[There's a saying somewhere about how there's always something stronger than you in Siren's Port and while that might be true, occasionally you don't find those stronger things- nope. You just get sideswiped by something weaker, albeit annoying and with sharp teeth and claws, that still manages to get a chunk out of you before it gets obliterated... Or... Severely injured. Honestly, Gabriel was too surprised that he got mauled by a fucking glorified cockroach to do much more than fight it off and bolt and hope no one saw that. Now, though you can't see it, because he's intentionally put the damn NV on voice, he's ducked in his building. He hasn't put the illusions back up yet or else he'd be curled on a soft bed getting pampered by three blonde chicks while his wounds heal.
....Look, he has to register IS THIS REAL LIFE? first. It's not every day attacking the Darkness backfires on an archangel. Despite that, when the NV clicks on, he sounds as belligerently cheerful and sarcastic as always. The only sign there might be something amiss is the fact that every now and then he hisses or coughs as if in pain. HEAL FASTER, WOUNDS.]
Good evening, Siren's Port! [The sound of shuffling as he tries to get into a position that isn't going to be uncomfortable for his gaping stomach wound. Fucking gutters. He likes this vessel un-mangled, thanks.] I hope you're all enjoying tonight's entertainment- I mean, it's Monsters On Ice for the fiftieth night in a row, but I bet that never gets old. [Cough.] Incidentally, I'm probably skipping out on the show this evening- I know, I know. You're all gonna miss my mug out there, fighting the good fight, laughing in the face of danger, and all that crap, but try to control your heartbreak. It's embarrassing for all of us... Especially me. [A pause and the NV gets covered up so all you can hear is a muffled hiss and something that sounds like sunuvabitch, that stings, but your ears are probably deceiving you. Really.
After a moment, it occurs to him that he has nothing else particularly witty to contribute, so he clicks the thing off.... And wonders if that was really necessary. Oh right. Because as long as he continue to snark at the masses and make them irritated, he's fine. Whoo.]
