[The opening shot might be a little vertigo-inducing for anyone who's looking: Riku's giving the city a view of the top of the buildings and the streets in the snow from on top of a fairly high apartment building. Not his own, of course, but nevertheless... There's a light breeze, enough to send small diamonds of white everywhere.]
Even if the snow's been a pain all day, it's really nice to look at from up high. Even on top of the apartment complex, it's really nice, especially when the moon's out.
[He pulls the camera back so no one has to see the same thing, showing
him in a black coat and a blue scarf draped around his neck. He smiles a little; it's dark enough out that it's hard to see his full expression, including the tiredness there. He lifts his head up.]
It's a shame that most people can't enjoy the outside at night. Plenty of people go out, sure, but they always immediately go back inside because of the Darkness.
[He sits.] Back home in the summer, I used to lay out on the beach for a long time and sometimes wouldn't get home until really late. I can't do that now...and not just because of the cold. [He briefly frowns, homesick. It's been almost a year since he's come to Siren's Port.]
It's...stupid to ask, but I'm curious. What's everyone's worlds like? What's your favorite part about home? Is it similar to this place at all?
