Good news: Passed quarterly review, and I'm altogether pleased with performance assessments. The meeting with Dr. Pyke went well this morning. It's been a long time since I'd faced any serious appraisal for my work...and I suppose my second-guessing anxieties over the past week or so have been largely owed to expectations of newcomer bias, and all that I've had to adjust to at the hospital. That was the worst of my fears, playing catch up to medicine in current times, with so many anomalies and so much more of a high-stress environment than I'd been accustomed to.
"Teachable, with diligent temperament and an open outlook." the final verdict, and now I find myself in a salaried position with privileges of full residency.
For you, Fellow Newcomers, this isn't really about my bragging rights, but to let you know this gives me a little more flexibility with my scheduling and a better chance to attend to those of you who need me on call...(technically I've already broken this a few times by bringing myself in while off-duty)...now I don't have to battle or sneak around calling in or out of overtime. And less night shifts, hopefully. So if you need a doctor, once again, I'll do what I can to make myself available.
Better news: I've also been offered to sit an upcoming symposium on hospital policy, as well as addressing local health concerns. I suppose they want "outside perspective" from someone a bit keener on newcomer affairs. In other words, I've been selected to speak on behalf all of you for the medical community.
I've already spoken with some of you. but are there any concerns that ought to be raised, within any range of experience you've had with Skye's clinic, or with emergency services, public health care policy or treatment you've received at any other city health facility?
Dr. Kurosaki and Dr. Ishida, I'd like to meet with you to discuss any input you'd have too, if that's possible?

...I've been keeping to myself, these past few days. With the review, and- and I should make it up to you, Re-l. Are you working late again?
