[Jubilee is once again, hanging out in her house. It looks like the living room, if the draped couch is anything to go by. There's a rather elaborate mural begun on the wall, and she's in cut offs and a ratty shirt working on it. Her hair's gotten longer in the months she's been in Siren's Port and brushes her shoulders now - when it isn't up in pig tails like it is today. Her back is to the camera, and she's humming along with some music playing in the background.]
So! Did everyone survive the storm okay? And the heat? I'll totally admit that I did a lot of hanging out at the underground mall and a few other places.
[She changes brushes, not looking at the NV, even though it's giving a pretty decent view of the mural and her butt. Jubilee goes back to painting.]
Sorry I've been scarce; I'm a California girl, but the heat was way too much even for me, ya know?
Anyway! Doom and gloom over, folks. Time to party.
I dunno about most people here, but I'm American, and it's coming up on one of the most grillingest of holidays: Labor Day. Now, I don't know the deets about Canuckistan, but in America, we got the first Monday of September off. Supposedly to celebrate working, but most people used it as an excuse to go stuff themselves silly on grilled food and other barbecue necessities.
Meaning, of course, that I feel the need for food, companionship and possibly drinking. [A quick wink at the camera.] Though, I promise no drunken brawling. [A pause] Save maybe Kenny.
Anyone wanna get together and start planning something like this? I mean, my place isn't big enough for a huge party, but maybe we can move it down to a beach or a lake or something? Totally not worried about who shows up. [A pause in her painting, but she goes resolutely on.] We're all newcomers here, right? I know there's a couple people here who know what XMen are, at least, and they're especially invited. Taste of home - hey, maybe there'll be Sentinels or Skrulls or something, right?

[She waves her nonpainting hand, despite not looking at the NV.]
If anyone's interested, drop me a line, okay? I'm willing to plan it, if people wanna do potluck or something. All foods, from all places are totally welcome. I'm an equal opportunity pig.
