Everyone is working tonight. While the attendance has moved upwards substantially since I have been put in charge, I must say, having everyone in for work and on time as well makes things much easier to deal with. Among the new people on staff at Lions Gate; this will be what you need to do every night you are on the clock. I won't accept anything ( Read more... )

You, unkempt because of the weather? Impossible.

And I'm to think that you're not as bothered by this heat as I am, Re-l Mayer?

Take a guess.

Yes, black can be a rather difficult color to wear in this heat.

My apologies, it's been a long day, and I had an unexpected call-in emergency to deal with. I'm sorry the heat's been a bother. This is only yet another thing we'll be learning to cope with. Remember, the only thing that sheltered us from the merciless earth was the thing you thought unnecessary.

That said, how might I help you?

[Private//No Haxx Please]

Working on things as we speak, though it's difficult to have any extended period of operational time with living tissue. This sample was only brought to me half an hour ago. I can't tell yet if the UVC is proving effective as more than germicidal lamp, but it disrupts the DNA base pairing.

...Otherwise, it's fairly quiet down here. Nothing too politically relevant.

I have two more nights after this one to put in full towards development, barring any complications that might arise with my patient in surgery.

Yes, those short sleeves must came in handy. I hope they keep the medical center cold.

[Private//Haxx This And Die]

If the problem is having less time to work with a sample, then wouldn't it be more beneficial to find a way to make sure there is more time with it, before we go and try to destroy it? An interesting subject, really.

Then the glass pieces have no trace samples on them?

Then I'll expect an update in a few more days.

The central air is functional. It really isn't that unbearable, if you avoid going out in the middle of the day. The waiting room warms up quickly, though. It's the automatic doors- high traffic.

[Private // No Really. Haxx this and we'll cut the life support.]

That's just the trouble. Another phenomenon. These creatures vanish entirely by dawn's first light, even if kept indoors and unexposed. Not just a cell death, full dissappearance. Once terminated the night prior, they re-emerge to plague the city again. Otherwise, it would be a far simpler task to wipe them out.

Oh that. I've the results for that- it's a complex compound. It matches to nothing in SERO's biochemical weapons databank. Homebrew.

That would make sense. I'm sure the patients waiting help that as well; Lions Gate is kept cold, but it tends to warm slightly when the guest amount is high.

[Private//Not just the life support. Haxx this and we'll nuke you without a care.]

Then it is fully possible for you to lose the creature by dawn and then collect the same one as soon as night returns? Not that you need the same monster, since I am guessing their genetic nature is the same as one another. I wonder how they were created in the first place.

Then we have someone operating around SERO and AGI. The list of people who could do such a thing, or even want to do such a thing, is very long.

Your apparent healing abilities. I was wondering about how something like that developed for you.

I leveled up and the skill unlocked itself.

How about the alternative of controlled, yet varied, weather?

If the weather is under your control, then what is the purpose of creating anything less then a perfect combination of light and heat?

What about the necessary amount of rain for agricultural purposes?

Agriculture does not necessarily need rain. It just needs a certain amount of water which can also be controlled.

[ This would be Aizen checking his NV while traversing HU. All around the main grounds, people are flopping half-naked in bikinis and shorts, sunbathing rather than studying. Aizen himself appears a little more ruffled than usual. The heat affects only the most handsome of men! No worries, Raul. ]

The shade isn't much better.

Shade offers a less then suitable protection from the sunlight, while the heat surrounds you. It's less then adequate. Are you used to such oppressive weather as some of the newcomers are?

[Of course he's curious to know what your world is like, Aizen. And perhaps a fellowship in the fact that not everyone can be put together on days and nights such as this. Also appreciative of the compliment and it returns in favor for yourself, Aizen.]

Not at all, this is quite inconvenient. I've taken to wearing a loose yukata I recently bought for a cheap price, just to stave off the worst of the heatwave.

[ It's alright, homeslice, chicks dig sweat. ]

It's less than professional, but given some of the outfits other people are wearing ...

I would rather not change my clothes because of the heat. Perhaps a lighter fabric is needed.

[OCD chicks don't, dawg. But someone doesn't want to lose his tight clothing and surrender dat ass.]

Mm. I was still getting used to the styles around here. Now I need to enforce the rules about clothing, considering how much less of it is around.
