[astute viewers who know Kaz well and regularly come in contact with him will notice that he doesn't look like himself today. to everyone else, he'll just look sleepy--slightly disheveled, an occasional tiny yawn mumbled every so often, a voice that carries a faintly strained sounding edge to it--and act only a little off; as if he's forcing cheerfulness.]
We're going to try something a little different tonight for dinner. I hope you guys like fondue. For anyone who hasn't tried it, you might want to go out and buy some additional stuff at the store to dip in the cheese if you're feeling adventurous; I'll be providing the meat and bread, but vegetables also work just fine. And if I have a big enough batch, I'll make a chocolate pot, too.
Oh, and Liquid? If you have the time, I'd like to talk to you.
--There's a lot of new people coming in, huh? I haven't even been here for two weeks and already I kinda feel like I'm old news. Pretty soon, this city's gonna overflow and we're going to outnumber the real citizens. It's kind of scary when you think about it, and on both ends; while there's every reason for them to be afraid of us, there's something to be said about this continuing to go on for so long without any visible end in sight. [pauses a little and placidly adds,] It's almost like...ah--
[he trails off into a yawn, adjusting his glasses when they're bumped down a notch. you can almost see the dark circles under his eyes.]
...I don't know, almost like we were met to be here or something. It's a cop-out, blaming something on an abstract concepts like fate or destiny, but still. It's something to think about.
[and he brightens a little, that tired smile stretching into a half-grin.] But on to business! What's the job market like here? I'm going to get cabin fever if I stay locked up in this room for any longer.
[OOC NOTE CUZ I'M STUPID: housemates, feel free to have noticed the suspicious sounding commotion that came from kaz and big boss' room last night.]
