Redgrave to do Personal Inspection
In light of the Earthquake and the prison break, Governor Redgrave announced today that he and his personal staff would do a personal inspection of the city and it's departments. They hope to see over the next few days the state the city is in after the massive damage done by the quake, and be able to give numbers on the further cost that will be needed to repair everything. They have stated preemptively that a lot of it will be going to finishing the repairs on the transportation system, as it is such a necessity for the citizens, and from there they will know by the end of the week how to fund the rest of the repairs.

The article then goes on to say that during the inspection they will be keeping an eye out for any city run organizations who are not doing as much as they could be.

The rest of it is a lot of basic self indulgent talk about the Governor's programs and how they influence the city with a LOT of opinion and very little useful unbiased information that can be discerned.

Repairs to Continue

There seem to be no end to the repairs from the damage to Siren's Port, both in the opinion of a lot of the people quoted in the article and the tone of the article itself.

About half a paragraph after announcing the fact that a large part of the city is still dealing with the damage  and therefore no assessment of when it will be done can be given, the article states that most of the repairs should be done by the end of the month, and all the clearing away by the end of two weeks. On closer inspection, it appears almost as if two separate articles were meshed into one for lack of space, as the tone of the top half of the article is completely different from the rest.

The second half seems to have a decent grasp on the situation however, and both of their estimates are backed up by facts, thought they do allow for money issues slowing down the repair process for non-government funded organizations and businesses. It also urges citizens to donate money or blood or household items like clothing, pots and pans, toys, and toiletries, if they are able.
