[Voice]

[This is a new voice to the network. He sounds pensive, thoughtfully composed.]

On the whole, my arrival has been...disorienting.

This city is so frantic and unorganized, a systemic ataxia. To awaken from Romdeau and find myself here, from one reality into another, is like a dream.  And yet...what a strangely liberating one. With no current purpose or intention but to take it all in, I can't decide if here or there is more the nightmare.

These apartments seem to serve as the entirety of Siren's Port's immigrant district. There doesn't appear to be any bureau for registry, re-education programs for assimilation, or any clear method of applying for full citizenship.

It's also pleasantly accommodating, and an unexpected extension of trust, that they leave outsiders mostly to our own devices, even so much as arranging this separate network.

[A resigned sigh.]

There's much to grow accustomed to. Since adapting is probably a common concern, I suppose its worth asking: how do the rest you cope?
