[ Here is everyone's favorite Sanzo priest, standing in front of a small office on a strip next to a nail salon and a gym. There's a large front window with a view of a nearly empty office inside. There are a few cushions on the floor and a book shelf, so far. In the front window is a hand-written sign on neon orange tag board - NEWCOMER FAITH CENTER - decorated with a shoddily-drawn rainbow and some smiley faces. ]
It took a little while for me to find an office that would accept my non-existent credentials, but, here it is! The Newcomer Faith Center. A place, I hope, where people can seek spiritual counsel from their fellow newcomers, as well as finding someone to perform various religious services for them. The idea for this came about when I noticed the Church of Jonova taking an interest in the various deaths and tragedies involving newcomers - I'm very happy about them stepping up for our sake, of course, but I thought it might be better if we had some sort of spiritual center, by and for newcomers.
We are located a block North from the Elmer Stop on the subway, in the 4th Sector. It's not far from the baseball diamond.
Now that we have an office, my first order of business will be a clothing drive. Please contact me if you'd like your business to become involved by putting out a donation barrel on your premise - I'll be settling out the full details of the drive in the next few weeks.
However, if you happen to have any items that can be used by the Newcomer Faith Center, please feel free to drop them by. We need... pretty much everything! [ laugh ] Computers and office furniture in particular. And money. Please give us lots of money, this whole enterprise is non-profit and we will depend on the support of the community. My savings from my previous jobs won't fund this place forever, and my lovely assistants do deserve some sort of paycheck for helping me clean this place up and everything else I demand of them.
Speaking of that -
Shizuo, I have some work for you - I managed to guilt the local Buddhist temple into donating us several filing cabinets, folding chairs and folding tables to our cause. Well technically, I'm borrowing them for an event, I just didn't say how long it would be. ♥ I've rented a truck for you to use. We have it for the full day, so... if you see any furniture just by the side of the road for people to use, please pick it up and bring it here too! [ chuckle ] If you think you'll need another person, please enlist Doumeki's help. I'm sure you two will get along.
Oh, and Ukoku? I'll be sleeping here until we can have some sort of adequate security installed to the office. I left you a check for my half of the rent... ah. It may have been a little bit short, but, I'm sure you understand~!
