[ At first, all you can see is gold. Shiny slabs of gold, intircally patterned in a matter of scales. Then the camera moves up, up, up, and then you might think that it is rather a sculpture made entirely out of gold. A golden fish, perhaps? A snake? A lizard?

Then the camera zooms out and there’s a long, golden neck, so long and round it can make ( Read more... )

This seems to be the day for dragons to arrive. [No awe in his voice -- he knows better than to feed a dragon's ego like that -- but no fear or suspicion, either. He can't just not acknowledge a dragon, though.]

[ Aurican is puzzled. He has yet to do in depth to the network other than his own posting. ]

Are you saying there's more than one? Other than myself?

There is. That one has been here before, though he's incapable of speech.

You'll likely find that he's well-intentioned and is more than likely to try and be amicable unless he sees a threat. [Yeah, he got this from talking to Toothless all of once. He's a good judge of dragony character. Which is probably why he doesn't like Khisanth; she plays to the negative stereotypes of dragons. It's just wrong.]

You've found a place to accommodate yourself, I hope?

[A nod, as if the confirmation that the dragon has a suitable place to stay pleases him. (And it does, but there's no need to say so.)] Good to hear it.

[Looks at some of the other conversations.] I fail to see why so many are surprised that you can speak. [Talking dragons are not strange, thank you. His talks to him all the time.]

Many are not familiar with dragons at all, let alone a speaking creature that they never knew existed. Even in the land I am from, many people still run from the presence of dragons, for they wisely know what happens with dragons go to war.

I still don't see why it's so difficult. Though I'm biased, perhaps.

Trust is difficult to earn and keep. It took me several years to gain the trust and confidence of the elves. It will be no different here, I wager.
