[When the NV turns on, it's being held very awkwardly and the view is skewed. Alice comes into view and behind her are several young children talking all at once and rather loudly. She tries to shush them, and Jack's voice can be heard nearby with another boy's. She laughs.]

Jack. Jack! It's on!

Congratulations and may Frigga bless your marriage with fidelity and a bountiful home.

Though, it does seem a bit odd. Unless you're from the same world?

Odd because, well, if you're not from the same world, then you will both be eventually parted, yes? Perhaps tomorrow, perhaps in a decade, but the time will come.

And then what happens? You'll return to your own world and find others.

Really, you should write your vows to say "until back to our own worlds do we part" or the like.

Well, aren't you charmin'. Yeah, we know it'll happen, but so what? Doesn't mean we're just gonna wait in fear.

I'm a realist.

You'll live with the sword of Damocles hanging over your head. Ever present. How can one take enjoyment from that?

By realizin' I've lived here for two years without a wife, and there's no reason I can't live another twenty with her. You got a name?

Loki, God of Awesomeness- that's a working title, I've not settled on one yet.

What happens to the one who is left behind to mourn? And isn't a marriage promise of something lasting? Yes, yes, you could say your love will transcend time and dimensions, but in the end, that's just not true, is it? You will each return to your world and there are very few ways around that.

God o' little shits, more like. And look, believe you me when I say we got a plan for that.

I could always change it to God of Vengeful Smitings.

What's your plan, then?

I'll give you a thick ear, you try that. And none o' your business.

Don't tempt me, mortal.

[Shrugs] Suit yourself and don't tell me. I'm only a master of walking between the worlds and dimensions, and magic and I was so kindkly offering to check your facts. [It's only a little bit of a lie, he can't be good all the time.]

Sorry, sorry, wait-- that means you can walk between any worlds, right? Any times, any dimensions?

Except from here, yes.

Now you're interested?

No, no, I'm just wonderin' about your powers if you can't even get off an island in Canada, that's all.

That's- I mean- it's.... I suppose you do have a point there.

Something about this place is different, is all.

Or you're a little shit.

[There's something slightly fond in his mocking grin, though.]

How old are you, anyway, ten?
