That's fair. Most superheroes can tread over the line into vigilantism if they aren't careful. And no one's perfect.

See, I have to believe in redemption. Dad... kinda needed it more than once. So, I believe in it.

Okay, there are those who aren't really redeemable. But sometimes, ya gotta give it a shot. One of the most terrifying men I've ever known saved my life and the lives of some friends.

... One of those monsters told me that once. Of course, he told me while holding a claw to my throat and dangling me by my hair, but he was right. Everyone bleeds.

That's why the guy attacked you. He probably thought the same way: Everyone bleeds, and if it bleeds, you can kill it. [A shrug] That's the way he meant it anyway.

Not just animals. Anyone with actual survivor instinct. And trust me, I know all about humans attacking blindly.
