On any other normal Friday night, I'd be pitching the weekend specials for Merlotte's Bar & Grille.
So don't get me wrong, I'm not being a traitor here, it's still a cool place to hang on a Saturday night. And if you're looking for something a little more low-key, my best friend's..uh...a friend of his is playing a solo gig there tomorrow, so if you

Totally brutal... D-Joe?

[Oh. Okay. In front of Terra, he feel a little bit stupid for a moment, just a little bit sheepish, about all of this.
...'cause Aslan's dead and some Crimson King is coming, and they should be training harder, getting more serious.
Suddenly, all the concert feels like is an empty bit of fooling around, goofing off, and he comes up dry for having a good, serious reason. His mouth hangs open a moment, anxious, teetering on ashamed-]

Heh...it's just, um. It's work stuff. Y'know. DJ-ing stuff. For my cred. For my job.

No. That's just so I can be sure Sora doesn't feel guilty about it when there's no presents for me.
And- well, I am sick of hearing it.

You should know better, Joe.

[And his attitude shifts drastically. Gone is the no-nonsense tsk-tsk tone.]
Why don't you think there would be presents for you?
I guess it could get kind of annoying after a while... but still. Shouldn't give others ideas like that, if you can help it.

'Cause we don't have that much munny, for presents, so it's easier not to pretend like Santa exists! And we did it last year, and I'm too old for it, and Riku spent way too much.
And Sora's- ....he's got this stupid idea, thinks he messed up and lost some of Santa's presents or something. I don't want him to think it's his fault. Not for me. So I'll be just bad enough, not to deserve it.

Hey... For one thing, Santa does exist. I'm not sure he could reach this place with his magic... But he's a real guy.
And the holidays aren't supposed to be about spending a lot of money or getting a lot of gifts. It's a special time to be with your friends, to show them how much you care and make memories with them you all can cherish.
I get what you're trying to do, but it's... not right. I'm not saying it's wrong, either. It's just... You're not bad. I don't want anyone thinking you are.
There's got to be another way to deal with the problem. What's going on with Sora? He got a bunch of presents and... what?

Right. I don't know about what you tell Ven, but I know better than to believe that stuff.
And why should you care what people think about me?
Sora found all these mystery-presents in his closet, and he thinks he turned into Santa on Halloween and lost some of them. Or that "real" Santa can't get them back.

I'm serious, Joe. He lives off on his own world and everything.
I care because you're a friend. One I'm going to be helping train and one who might be fighting at my side against a enemy of the worlds someday. Or am I mistaken about that?
... Sounds pretty crazy. I'll try and talk to him about it.

No! No, you're not mistaken about that. But... but it doesn't matter, what I'm like, or if I'm a little bit bad, because you're my friend. ....Right?
He's hopeless. Don't try.

Yeah, that's right. Even if you're a little bit bad, I'm your friend.
It's because he's hopeless that I have to try. [Mumble-] Aslan would want me to try.

[A longer, heavy sigh. Frustrated. You're not the only one, Terra. He grits his teeth with determination.]
I still don't believe it, what they said. I don't. Aslan will come back.

[He lowers his voice but goes on. He hasn't had a chance to really talk about it with anyone.]
I can't believe he was destroyed in the first place. He was... is so much better than this place. I never thought for a second anything in this world could take him down.
I keep waiting to sense his light again. Any day now...

Don't give up hope, Terra. If you wish hard enough- maybe he's just saving up his strength. I mean they can't have really-
I don't even believe they actually buried him.
You think anyone could mix up another lion, for Aslan?

Or maybe it's some kind of special trick. Like he's doing something important and needs everyone to think he's gone.
I doubt anyone could mistake another lion for him, though. It's not like there are a lot of lions around... Much less lions of pure light.
