[Three competing recruiters are set up in the Tower Apartments Lobby today, cheerleading scouts for AGI, SERO, and the Neutral ‘Home’ Team, Portside’s Cheer & Dance Squad. They cheer for every professional sporting event played at Grant Stadium, as well as make appearances at promotional events. If you an attractive and enthusiastic young female newcomer, you will probably be targeted for potential recruitment.

AGI or SERO cheerleaders will become affiliated, and will receive pay of $55 per game. Portside’s cheer squad is brand new, not quite as well-funded, so they will make only $35 per game. Experience preferred! If you sign up for tryouts today, they will be held for all three squads on Friday afternoon in the stadium’s practice room.]

- The body found on the ninetieth has been positively identified, since early last night. According to police, the body belongs to Newcomer Samus Aran. As stated in the previous article, the body was found in a box, on the roof of the sector four station of the SPPD. Police are currently trying to find more information on the killer, as several interesting and gruesome points come to light.

First, when the body was taken in, it was found that the foot had been carved like that of the victims of the Newcomer Killer, suggesting either the killer's return to high profile attacks, or a particularly ambitious copycat.

Second, a video feed managed to capture what might be the killer. There are several minutes of footage where someone who is almost completely obscured by the darkness appears to have the box with them, dragging it, then disappearing into a blind spot. Next, later the same day, there seems to be several hours of footage missing. The SPPD has not released the date of this footage, though (according to the reporter) they have promised to release the tape to the public, grainy and unhelpful as it might be, in the hopes that someone might be able to glean something from it.

And third, when the body was removed from the box, a note was found carved into the wood. According to sources, the note read "We can send every one of them home. If they wont go on their own, we will box them up and do it for them. Her discovery has brought only pain to our kind."

This mentioned discovery can only be the discovery of the Core, as Aran was the woman who located the 'missing' location of the lost Core last year, previously thought to be a device already safe-housed beneath the government building. There have been mentions of possibly doing a public funeral service for the woman, but the writer has no details and seems to waffle about in discussing any memorial plans. Clearly, they're more comfortable with scandal than with more somber information. Either way, it is clear that someone else should likely take up writing a memorial article for the woman, if there is one, because the language is not particularly reverent, all things considered.

The article leaves off with a bit of information on the Newcomer Killer, nothing new, and a bit more from the same officer from the previous article, who only seems to be saying similar things with the words changed up for a sort of attempt at passing it off as new information.

- Tensions were high last at Neveah Knorr's book signing when one of the biggest booksellers in the city, Brinks Books, unexpectedly ran out of copies of her self-help hit, The Heaven Within Your Reach. The staff struggled to keep order while Miss Knorr addressed a crowd of over a hundred. Knorr asked her fans to keep calm and get along, promising that everyone whose name was taken down that night would receive a signed copy of the book pending its second printing. The self-proclaimed 'angelic newcomer' reminded the crowd that she had overcome great obstacles of frustration, fear and ignorance as a newcomer. She implored the crowd to find a similar strength within, and patiently wait for their signed copy. She also offered a free e-copy of the book to everyone in attendance.

The Heaven Within Your Reach is a runaway hit, popular for its life-affirming message and easy-to-understand, step-by-step methods of life improvement. One critic praises the book for its "daring look at the newcomer lifestyle" and its uplifting assurance that "anyone, even a newcomer, can have a successful life with the right attitude."

The author of the article notes that this book shortage has only fueled the frenzy, and copies are now nearly impossible to find in the city. Fortunately, it should be back on the shelves by next week.
