001 [Video] Blinding you with SCIENCE! (backdated to 1PM)
[The video feed turns on to reveal a blur of motion, it’s pretty much impossible to make out any recognizable shape seeing as the person with the NV is moving at speeds well beyond that of sound. Then abruptly, it stops and open sky can be seen and then the masked face of Kid Flash is visible from an angle that takes it look like his NV is attached to his wrist and he’s holding his forearm up to speak into the camera. His expression is a bit apologetic.]
Hey Siren’s Port, I’m Kid Flash. Sorry about the vertigo there, I was too quick to turn on the video. [A grin.] I’m fast; it’s kind of my thing.
Anyway, I’m new here and there’s something I wanted to try out. Most people here have powers, well mine’s speed. I can run through most resistances like they’re nothing. Theoretically, if this “pull” that keeps us here is like a cord, then with enough speed, it can be snapped. And if you want to get even more theoretical, with enough speed and suitable geometries of spacetime, you can travel through time and dimensions. I’ve never actually done that, but I’m willing to try.
[He adjusts the camera’s angle to show the ocean and then refocuses it back on himself.] I’m on one side of the island right now, so I thought I’d do a little experiment and run to the other and beyond at top speed. Trust me, I’m pretty fast. And awesome. So we’ll see what happens.
If it failed, I’ll be back in a few seconds tops.
[The feed cuts out and about seven seconds later he turns it back on looking worse for wear and the scenery has changed to somewhere inside the city.] Sooo, anybody know about some jobs I can check out? Looks like I’m staying here a bit longer.
