It's not uncommon to pose open hypothetical questions over the network- I know that happens quite often, and some of you probably tire of it. Feel free to skip this one, then, if there is anything more pressing on your time.

My working colleagues have yet again made lively and intelligent discussion of the morning carpool, and so I've spent the ( Read more... )

--beings without a heart.

I wanna know if it's possible to get it back here, somehow. I mean, I've still got my physical one, I think--Sometimes I can hear it beating if I hold my breath long enough but I can't really feel it.

And you call people suffering that condition Nobodies?

Life without a physical heart (or a prosthetic) is something that's difficult to conceive, from a medical perspective.

But lack of a metaphysical one is something I've heard about, but...never quite understood how to resolve.

If there's a way to fix it besides Kingdom Hearts, I'd... I think I'd probably do it with some thinking before hand. Sure, I say we've got hearts 'n all that but sometimes I just end up thinkin' 'bout it all and then I end up getting tangled in my own ideas.

Back home we were working on something called Kingdom Hearts. We were told if we could complete it, we'd get our hearts back, but... I sorta got killed before that ever happened so I dunno if it would've ever worked.

A project?

That's... unfortunate. Often, these things take lifetimes to sort through. Solutions are not always so simple, cut and dry.
