Weather

The following list of characters will find a note slipped under their door giving a three days' notice of eviction. Today marks the end of your one month of free rent, and the landlord has given three days (until April 16) to leave the apartments.

Saturday evening was yet another hard one for the newcomer’s field, as it apparently was hit by what some believe to be a meteor. This follows damage that had already been done by another earlier in the year, putting a smaller, though still significant dent in the ground and burning some of the nearby area.
Once again the actual cause has disappeared, and police would like information as to the cause. Local residents have shown some amount of concern about whether this meteor may carry some sort of space radiation.
There is talk of trying to level out the damage, but the article admits that funding might be difficult to come by.
Police Investigation Into Newcomer Attacks Continues
This is an article about the recent rash of attacks on newcomers that have occurred in the past two weeks. The reporter gives a quick description of the attacks that have happened - the initial four brutal deaths of newcomers Poland, Szayel Aporro Grants, Death the Kid, and Kouichi Aizawa, all beaten to death. The article goes on to detail attacks that have occurred since then, specifically a young girl who was stabbed in public, and a teenage boy who was knocked down and stabbed in the street. The article also mentions the attacks on newcomer-managed establishments Club 24 and Icha Icha Paradise, with the perpetrators of these attacks seeming to have been apprehended by the owner of Icha Icha Paradise.
The report goes on to say that thus far, the police have found little to no connection in the attacks that have happened since the initial four murders. The police state that they seem to be unrelated, as the modus operandi was different, and that they are likely to be copycats.

It states that a SERO representative stepped forward today to announce that, in the wake of AGI's recent mishandling of the newcomer attacks, they are sponsoring a funeral for the four murdered newcomers that were found in the City.
The SERO representative has stated that these murders were a tragedy, and should not be tolerated. The representative goes on to state that AGI's tactic of dealing with the crisis at hand through celebration is inappropriate considering how tragic the deaths were. In response, SERO will be hosting this open funeral at a private convention center in Sector 2. The funeral is open to all citizens, regardless of affiliation, and refreshments will be provided. The funeral will honor the lives of these newcomers, and anyone who knew them is welcome to volunteer to speak at the funeral.
This funeral will be held on Friday afternoon.
