If you have the qualifications, then it shouldn't be nearly so hard as it can be. Have you had jobs in the past?

You could work in a book store, or in the theater moving boxes and other prop pieces. Or you could teach.

Ahhhh, no not really. Uh, being a full-time student and trying to make good grades was pretty much my job.

I like books and the theater would be interesting. I'm not too sure about teaching, though.

Oh, okay. Well, what were you studying?

The theater's hiring. I work there doing that and the pay is decent.

Keep an eye on the news feed. If any big things are hiring it'll say. If not, then try the Underground Mall? Oh, and I think the subways are hiring, I saw a few days ago.

There's also someone who was looking for a babysitter a few days ago...pays something like 22 an hour?

A babysitter? Really? That's not bad. But someone would've taken that job by now, right?

There would be some unique challenges to finding employment here. Reference checks, for one.

Reference checks? Oh, you mean like they call up people I know and check up on me, right? [He paid attention to some things during school.]

Yes. That could prove to be very difficult here.

Maybe some businesses will overlook that because of our, uh, unique situation.
