[Axel's at his desk at Xino Mao, apparently on his lunch break since he's eating a bowl of noodles. He twists a tangle of the curly ramen around a pair of chopsticks and grins at the feed before lifting the chopsticks in something like a toast.]
Man oh man, this place really knows how to keep people on their toes, don't you think? I mean, you can find murder and urban legends anyplace, but this collective dreaming that's been going on? [A low whistle and he shakes his head, taking that bite of noodles and pausing a moment to swallow it before he speaks again; talking with your mouth full is so undignified, after all..] Now that's a novel gimmick. I mean, I usually find scary movies hilarious, but if scary movies were like some'a these dreams? Well, let's just say we could seriously overhaul the market with all this material. I find myself wondering if anybody's gonna have any nerves left for Halloween proper, you know? [He seems remarkably unperturbed by everything, but for those particularly observant souls, one may notice the faint dark circles beneath his eyes he'll never own up to.
[Another bite of noodles and he looks thoughtful for a moment before just sort of smiling at the feed.]
Also, these noodles are delicious. Me, I'm never one to turn down free food put in front of me anyway, but if a coworker decides to be uncharacteristically generous and make you noodles for lunch for no damn reason, for the love of Light accept the offer. [He points the chopsticks meaningfully at the NV and then sort of tilts the bowl so everyone can
see.] I mean, maybe it's just me, but there's something really nostalgic about a bowl of spicy noodles; got it memorized?
[Another bite and he nibbles on the ends of the chopsticks briefly.] Tell me, Portlings, what reminds you of the good old days, huh? Doesn't have to be food.

Yo, we still on for a little sparring session after I get off work? We can prolly use the roof of my apartment building; it's spacious and out of the way. Not afraid if heights, are you?
