- Artisan Glassblower Colin Halloway barely escaped tragedy today, when his two year old son's sonic abilities emerged in the middle of Halloway's work. Halloway was working in his studio, behind the family home when Ella Halloway, his wife, carried the boy out with her to ask about dinner. The boy became agitated at not being able to be put down while in the studio, and began to throw a tantrum. Normally this would be nothing, but the boy's power chose that moment to manifest for the first time.

The family barely escaped death through what police are calling 'sheer dumb luck'. Mr. Halloway had leaned into a cabinet right before the incident, and so managed to escape with only minor cuts, mostly obtained trying to get back across the room. Mrs. Halloway and their son evaded serious injury as well, because of the design of the entryway to the studio.

Police say that, had Mr. Halloway been standing anywhere else within the ten foot radius, he likely would've been killed by falling glass and shattering windows. The Halloway family has sent the statement that they feel incredibly lucky, and are planning to rent an office space far from the home for Mr. Halloway's work, in the future.
