[The voice in this transmission only appears unshaken. There is a harshness to his diction that suggests this young man is deeply concerned.]

My sister, Clover, has not returned home from class at Siren's Port university today. She left her NV at the dormitory so it wouldn't distract her from lectures [something he regrets nagging her to do, even ( Read more... )

I just checked our admission records. She's not here. I'm about to call in a contact at SERO's hospital, and check there as well.

No sign of her.

...Clover should be hard to miss.

Yes.

[quiet] Doctor, considering our history, even if Clover can be a little absent-minded at times - she would not be late while failing to contact me.

But her NV is going to voicemail?

Not immediately, it is ringing. But she did not take it to class with her today.

But her number is still connected to the network.

Yes. This means she is still in the city somewhere, correct?

Yes. That's right.

My new apartment isn't far from SPU. If you'd like, I can ask around, see if any of the students have seen her, or- Which Professor's class was she supposed to be in today?

Thank you. I have already been to the campus and a few of the spots nearby I know she likes. She was last in her humanities course, I believe, but the professor saw her leave.

Does she take a particular route home?

Not that I am aware of. She has never detailed her particular route home to me. [It never seemed necessary, when he could contact her and find out her location by seeing through her eyes.]

[Whoops, I guess that meas we've studied Re-l's habits a bit much.]

Well, I'll ask the nurse handling admissions to keep an eye out for any girls matching her description- just in case, and pass of your contact info to her, if that's alright by you?

I believe that will be for the best. I am going to make one last search over campus for her, and ask around the dormitory.

[MUCH later in that night, before morning sirens] Text gaveherwings October 3 2011, 01:34:00 UTC
Clover arrived in the ER at 4:13:27. I'm not sure who brought her, but the nurses tell me she was found wandering out in the dark.

She is experiencing hallucinations. It may be Xaleyin, Spores, or something else from the Darkness. Lab is running blood tests now. Minor abrasions on palms and one leg, but beyond that she's fine. We're keeping her a few hours for observation, but you can come by first thing in the morning.

[Snake wakes up all at once, scrambling for his NV - set to go off loudly at any message once he fell into a fitful sleep. It was all he could think to do, unable to defend himself quite properly from poison-dripping monsters. The only thing that truly comforted him is knowing he would probably feel it if she came to harm - in fact that harm would probably even draw him to her.]

--Doctor! How is she?
