Upon reading her struggles in school social acceptance, a group of the university’s graduate students felt moved to create a safe alternative in a virtual environment as part of their senior educational capstone project. To be unveiled for spring term, the over-NV classroom will offering services free for the first six months, fully sponsored by SERO Corporation’s Growing Minds Fund, and not the city’s severely cut back Integration Educational Grants. Curriculum will be approved by the city’s Board of Education, but tailored to meet the individual student’s learning level.
