She's seen it. She's looked into her father's eyes and seen only inhuman viciousness in the vast nothing of the eyes she knew, and she's held John in her arms before, done anything for him, and suffered the consequences. Angels on high and demons of Hell have followed her, shouting down the line that she is small, she can do nothing, she is an object of destiny and apparently just one more dead Disney mom biting the dust.
