Maintain caution. The modus operandi of the serial killer is entirely inconsistent with that of these vandals; I doubt very highly that the police indeed have apprehended the correct individuals. Continue going about with all caution as before; do not advertise your status as a newcomer, travel with others when possible, and if you believe you need help, do not allow pride to keep you from calling out for help. The murderer will be caught, but we must work to ensure he claims no more victims.
