I realized I passed a year spent here a while ago. I didn't really think about it at the time. It's been quite a while since I've been home now, except for a short visit a while ago. It's been months since then at this point.
I wonder what I'd be doing if I was at home right now, at this instant? I suppose probably I would be asleep, assuming it was a normal day. But actually this is the longest I've really been settled anywhere for quite a while, which is strange.
[That last sentence feels a little revealing, in comparison to her normal private nature. Still... after some consideration, she leaves it. At times, Rin kind of wants to talk about these things.]
Some people have really built new lives for themselves here and that's commendable. I suppose for my own part, I'm still thinking of my life here as if it's bound to be temporary and like I could go home the very next second. It's easy to get caught up in things though.
