Hiya! Thanks for your question, and it's no problem.

Flannigan is looking to hire people who know what things are. Imports in SP work oddly sometimes, with items mostly coming from the mainland, and he just wants someone who will know what a Aero bar is or a Kit Kat, or what 'imported' sodas are (Coke, Pepsi, etc). He wants people who know real items from fake. For example, when looking down a list of imports from the black market for, say "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese," he wants someone who will know this is the real stuff and not some knock off like "Craft Mac and Cheddar" or something.

Basically...he's looking for someone from Earth who knows or can learn the everyday goods and not someone from another planet who doesn't know the difference between a brand name and generic. I'm hungry, so all the references seem to be about food, but his store sells everything ever. Food, drink, wine, liquor, clothing, sports stuff - you name it they sell it...as long as it's imported that is. He has very few City-made products.

Working here would either give your character the chance to just do sales in general, or for advanced pay he could be trained to shop for goods at the black market for Flannigan himself.

General clerk in the shop will make minimum wages. If your character gives good enough knowledge of everyday goods, or is a fast learner he could make a fair sum above minimum wage as well as some bonuses if he either saves them money, makes good deals, and/or brings in the good products. We'll let you set the price I he can manage that well enough.

tl;dr?: Yes. Know what is real and what is a good deal. Be trained to search the black market, and pay would be reasonable to pretty nice depending on how well he does!
