I've had calls all morning about whether or not there will be some sort of police presence down by the diamond because of what happened to Himawari. The answer is yes, obviously, though I'm not sure what good it will do now. I'm sorry about what happened to her. It's not right and steps should have been taken to guarantee the safety of the greeters a long time ago, considering this isn't the first time one of them has been killed at the diamond by a Newcomer or a local.
I didn't think we had cannibals living among us, though far be it from me to be surprised about it. That's the sort of thing you keep under wraps, though, don't you think? I honestly can't believe they did this to a greeter in a public place.

...In either case, everyone should just be more careful on the streets. We don't know if this is someone targeting Newcomers or not. I shouldn't have to advise everyone to travel in a group and not be out after sirens.
And try to keep your cars off the street, if possible, unless you want your tires stolen. I have no idea who has the gall to do that, but I'd like it if they could knock it off.

I also wanted to talk about something else, briefly. A boarding house was for sale a few weeks ago and I took the liberty of snatching it up. It can be used as a halfway house for Newcomers, especially for students who don't have the money to pay for campus rooming or for people who have recently lost their jobs. It can be used for anyone, really, but I need people who want to work there and help run it. I have too much on my plate as it is [and she doesn't know the first thing about housekeeping] but I know some of you want jobs, and you can live in the house itself, if you'd like.
It needs a little fixing up, too, but the proofing is sound and it's been inspected. If you're interested in doing something with it, rooming there, or working...just give me a ring. Thank you.
