Hey, so I've heard rumors about people getting sick and seeing weird stuff around the Tower Apartments, near the baseball field.

People are saying it's like a new pollen allergy or something, that's what I heard at least, but I've got a pretty good other idea what that could be all about...and it's about time I took care of it. [There's almost a ( Read more... )

I was nauseous and hallucinating for some of Friday afternoon and evening, and at least three other people who were at the Greeters' class with me had similar symptoms. If you really need to know more than 'nauseous and hallucinating' I can give details, but I'd like to know why it matters first.

We were discussing possible causes; you can look at the network here and here and here.

This doctor has seen cases, and aha; it seems this individual knows of a case or two. A friend was affected with similar symptoms today, and confirmed he'd been near the Tower Apartments.

None of the people I've communicated with have mentioned being attacked.

Uh, thanks, I...

I just want to try and find the thing that's responsible, and destroy it.

Ah ... I'd be careful there; the way it's behaving sounds like whatever's causing it is carried through the air. So if you destroyed the chemical or whatever, it might vaporize and spread farther.

It's probably carried through some kind of magic.

Why do you think that?

Well, it sounds like some kind of illusion, to me.

I doubt it. It was not a physical illusion, since no one else saw what I did. It *could* have been a mental illusion, but I doubt it very much: my psychic shields are very sensitive and I didn't feel anyone trying to penetrate them, let alone doing so successfully.

But what about witch's magic? Maybe it works different, in your world, but Kyubey definitely knows what he's talking about.

Well - when we sort out the way this happened, I will be surprised if it doesn't turn out that whoever or whatever messed with my mind didn't do it by messing with my physical brain. For all I know your witches' illusions work that way.

While I know someone claimed it couldn't have been a poison, the symptoms seemed very much like a hallucinogen. No, I do not indulge; however, I have seen memories of people who have.

You can see memories?

I'm a high-precision telepath. If someone lets me into their mind, I can read memories, show them memories from me, and do a bunch of other tricks.

That's why I'm fairly sure no one's been in my mind and I hallucinated because of something done to my brain and/or body.

This doesn't rule out witches, but it means that I'm dubious about illusions. If this was magic or partly magic, iit seems more like magic used to mimic drugs, enhance drugs or lower the resistance of anyone touching airborne drugs.

Incidentally, there are definitely good people who use magic in the city, so ... how are you planning to find the witch that did this, if it *was* done by a witch?

Because ...I have something that will lead the way, if it's a witch.

Something that will lead the way to the witch that did this, that will lead the way to anybody who uses magic the way witches from your world do, or that will lead the way to anybody who uses magic?

To...witches, that's as far as I really know.

frosty_mind August 23 2011, 17:53:01 UTC
Well. Once you've found a witch, or witches, how do you plan to find out if the witch created the illness?

I don't know...

But if there's really a witch, I should destroy it anyway.
