Map 11 - Video
[Video feed starts with Nami in the back kitchens of Brooke’s Restaurant. The clatter of pots, plates and chefs can be heard, and once in a while a white capped chef can be seen darting past behind her. All busy.]
[Nami looks far more stressed out then she has in a while.]
First off: Ace is no terrorist. He wouldn’t have committed suicide either. That article was disgusting and insulting. If you knew Ace then...[There is a pause and for a moment she looks like she’s going to be sick. The video cuts off as she remembers Ace is dead back home.]
[The feed comes on TEN minutes later. She’s composed once more.]
For those who don’t know, Brooke, Ace and Marco all appear to be out of port. Brooke’s been gone for a week now with no sign of him. The others... more recent. If they went home then all for the better. They’ll be fine. [A lie in Ace’s case...]
In... other news. I need staff. I need staff very soon. Management, waiters, waitresses, chefs, bakers, and anyone musically inclined? I have a restaurant and a music store that will need running. [She moved to turn the feed off only to pause, draw back and ask] I suppose I should ask... does anyone know anything about the care of cows? [she frowned, then reached out and turned off the feed.]
[It comes back on a moment later for two private notes, though neither is encrypted past a simple filter to the others.]
[Private to: Zoro and Vivi]
I can’t get a hold of Marco. Disconnected like Brooke. And Ace... I can’t--[She shakes her head, feeling sick] They’re gone I think. Hopefully we’ll see them again.
As I said, we’re in need for staff. Try looking around for people who need work. I don’t want to to close Brooke’s store down this time. He put a lot of work into that.
Also, Marco had Whitebeard’s cows on a farm out in the seventh sector. I’ve got our milk contract through him. We need to keep an eye on it until he comes back. Zoro. Head out there today and check on it will you? They’ll need to be brought inside before nightfall.

[This came fifteen minutes later, and she’s now inside her office, door closed. Clearly she’s been crying.]
It sounds stupid, but I’m glad I went through what we went through together. When shit like this happens... when I lose yet another crew member... I think back on that and realize this isn’t so bad. Things like this... this is... is nothing. This could be worse. This isn't so bad.
But sometimes this feels like... I can’t breath. Ace is dead back home. I was taking it for granted that he would just... be here. I’m doing it with you guys too. I think we lost Sasuke now too...
[Sitting up more, she ran a hand over her face, pushing a smile weakly on it] I need to keep better contact with you guys. How’s everyone doing here?
