[The video shows Himawari’s hand drawing back from the NV after turning it on, seated at the Tower Apartment Office in the main Lobby. She is not smiling as normal. She hasn’t really been chipper or smiling for weeks now. The necklace cord sits around her neck still, her hand giving it a small tug before she speaks.]Hello and good evening everyone ( Read more... )

[ Amy has been hitting some road blocks on the job front - or maybe she's not trying hard enough. But this seems like the perfect opportunity, and she's not sure why she didn't think of it sooner. ]

Himawari, hey. Mind if I stop by, and possibly bring a friend with me?

[It's really a simple job in the end and a good way to start until one finds a better job! For Himawari... this was the better job]

Hello! You're interested as well? Of course, please come. The more the better, really. I almost didn't think anyone would be interested.

[ And it's probably the closest she'll get to doing something she's familiar with. Plus, if it will help like the Doctor thinks, then she's on board. ]

Yeah, suppose I am. Unless there's some sort of weird catch. You know, a reason why people wouldn't be interested.

[Ah yeah, another actual smile is given. Smiles have been lacking as of late, but the fact that people are taking interest is helping her enchanted bad mood]

Besides the fact that there are better paying jobs out there, I don't really think there is much of a catch. I feel we would be better off if more newcomers were involved to begin with. After all, we at least know what it's like to show up suddenly and not know what's going on.

I'm sure most of those jobs involve sitting behind a desk or taking sides, you know what I mean? But I guess being a greeter can be pretty risky, too. [ if it means helping people who might show up after the sirens... but Amy realises that's what she'd rather be doing anyway. ] Sooo, where do we sign up?

It is kind of hard to find a job that is more neutral of side. Both the big companies give funding to support the Greeter program, but it is still very stand alone, and yes, for the most part, not behind a desk. [she chuckled, very short to that. She does the desk work because she enjoys it, but there is very little to do]

Consider yourself signed up. Come Friday if you can to the workshop and we can get you set up!

Right. Brilliant. I'll be there. And if you see a guy looking lost in a bowtie, don't worry, he's with me.

[ she smiles, feeling she has to warn people now. though, she's sure he's made enough of an impression on his own. but then! another thought comes to her. ]

Oh. One more question... Ehm. Being a greeter, we can get our old flat back, yeah?

The Doctor you mean? He did mention something about wanting more information.

[At the next question she nodded firmly, even with a bit of a smile]

Right. Either your old place or one of the reserved two bedroom places. There are a few of them held for those working as a greeter, but very few people take them.

Yeah, not surprising.

[ but Amy is still claiming this idea was hers first! ]

Well, we were staying in a two bedroom there before. Guess we're the odd ones out all around, eh?
