City Official Mr. Townshed will be proctoring and overseeing the swearing-in process. Following up, the center will host a voter registration drive. Several activist groups of exasperated locals are already planning to protest this movement, including the Mothers Against Newcomers group.
- Killer Robot Taken Down
An Independent Radio Station tech-gone-rogue finally completed his revenge quest yesterday, tracking down the murderer of several coworkers following the Core-Frequency massacre in late April. The automaton sniper responsible for the deaths of News Station workers was located, shot in the central processing unit, and smashed to bits while he was on standby. The automatons parts are still being analyzed, although police reports confirm it was not manufactured or programmed by SERO or AGI, and its last looping line of audible output was "...meatbags!"
- Escapist Dreams of High School Seniors Ends in Tragedy
Five Seniors at a Sector 5 Public High School stole a sailboat from Gibson's Rental Docks yesterday, fulfilling a suicide pact that school officials found buried in a soda bottle by the school's flagpole, dated to the summer of their freshman year. Three of the five students left letters to their parents, explaining their intentions to try and leave the island, taking their fighting chance against the Pull together, to see the rest of the world.
"I'm sorry mom and dad, but we have to do this. We made a promise to each other, and we have to give it our shot. This is our time. I love you." Morgan Cartwright (18) wrote. After reporting their daughter missing, a schoolmate who elected to stay behind confessed the contents of the Seniors' Pact. Siren's Port Coast Guard were sent out to try and recover the boat before it capsized, but sunset sirens came before they could be found.
