Breads, coffee cakes. I like to make ones with jams in them.

Berries. Cherries and blueberries mostly, but berries in general.

I'll have to get some next time it's my turn to get the groceries; there's a lot of recipes in here that use jam.

They are. If you make the cookies, you can experiment with different flavours of jam, which works well if you are learning how to cook.

Experimenting is fun; I thought cooking was going to be really difficult but it's not so hard if you follow the recipe.

Once you have the basics down, you can create your own recipes too.

That does sound really fun; my friends and I like to create our own ice cream recipes too. I guess it'd be a bit different with baking.

It is. Baking is a little different in that you have to have a little more base knowlegde before you start doing things without a recipe but it's not difficult.

You've got to be more careful with what you put in too; I put too much milk into the first batch of frosting I made and it didn't stick together right.

What kind of frosting where you making?

Buttercream icing. It said a few drops of milk, but... I think instead of dropping I poured and it was all gloopy.
