It's this device beneath the baseball stadium you arrived in, called the Core. Simply put, it's able to transport people here from many different dimensions.

However, the Core also keeps us stuck on this island. If you try to leave, eventually the Core will cause this effect called the Pull. The Pull is fatal, in most cases, unless you move back towards the Core. The closer you are to the Core, the less you feel this Pull.

Mais, there's always the possibility the Core will send you back to your world. People have been known to disappear from this island before, having gone "back home".

If there's no way to overcome this "Pull", how do I get the Core to send me back? What is it anyway?

Greeter? [He looks rather skeptically at Liquid.] How can you not know what a Gundam is? They're the giant robots that have been destroying the Earth for the last sixty years? [There's a lot of sarcasm in that last question, but there's a bit of anger in it too, since that's a really sore subject for Domon right now.]
