Round 1 ♔♥ Video

[The video feed switches on to show a man with spiky black hair wearing a red cloak and red headband. The NV is positioned at a rather odd angle, and Domon clearly doesn't realize that he just started a video post to the network. Almost as soon as the feed starts, the he snaps his fingers before loudly shouting.] Rise, God Gundam! [When nothing ( Read more... )

[A handsome French man appears on Domon's screen.] You're in a place called Siren's Port, monsieur. It's on an island off the coast of Canada, supposedly... although, no one's been able to get off the island to verify this.

[When he hears the "Gundam Star Key" talking to him, he's so startled that he almost drops it.] What is this thing? [Then he examines it a little closer, and realizes it's working as a phone, regardless of what it might look like. When he listens to the message, he looks even more surprised than he did before.] Neo Canada? How did I get to Neo Canada? ...What do you mean no one's been able to get off the island!?

It's this device beneath the baseball stadium you arrived in, called the Core. Simply put, it's able to transport people here from many different dimensions.

However, the Core also keeps us stuck on this island. If you try to leave, eventually the Core will cause this effect called the Pull. The Pull is fatal, in most cases, unless you move back towards the Core. The closer you are to the Core, the less you feel this Pull.

Mais, there's always the possibility the Core will send you back to your world. People have been known to disappear from this island before, having gone "back home".

...Different dimensions? [He shakes his head. No, that's not possible. But he couldn't deny that this place was untouched by the Gundam Fight...] This is Earth right?

If there's no way to overcome this "Pull", how do I get the Core to send me back? What is it anyway?

Oui, it's Earth. You're from Earth, then?

It's random, as far as I can tell. You could be sent back at any time. [He shakes his head.] All I know is that it is a large machine. I haven't actually seen it myself, and SERO won't let anyone else near it nowadays. Ah... the SERO people are the scientists around that area.

I'm from the Neo Japan space colony, but I've spent most of my life on Earth.

I see. [Another renegade machine? He really has the worst luck with super-technology.] Then these guys are the ones that brought me here? [He looks away from the NV, presumably at one of the SERO scientists, giving them an extremely intimidating glare.]

From space? [Francis seems quite surprised on that.] There... there are colonies in space, on your world? Mon dieu...

Non, the SERO men are simply there to study the Core, they were not the ones that brought you here. The Core itself did.

Each nation has it's own space colony...all of the large nations like Neo Russia and Neo France anyway.

If they're not the ones that brought me here, why won't they let me leave?

Neo... France? You mean France has a colony too?

They are being pests, as usual. [A scoff.] Don't mind the SERO people, really. They are simply wanting to ask you a few questions and give you a medical test to make sure you're all right - at least, that's what they say.

My advice would also be to stay away from the companies at all costs. AGI and SERO are both trouble, no matter how harmless they look on the surface... one of them experiments on people and the other enslaves them.

...Why wouldn't it?

So don't trust them, and don't give them any details?

[As Francis describes talks about the companies, Domon's eyes widen in surprise, before he gives a disgusted snarl.] They're allowed to do this!?

[That thought seems to make him ponder for a while.]

Give them as little information as possible. You'll have to give them your name but try to be vague about the rest, if you can. I wouldn't trust them with much else.

It's perfectly legal, here. It disgusts me too, monsieur.

When did the Neo Canadian government decide to let big companies get away with things like that!?

Calm down, cher, it's not Canada's fault! [His son certainly wouldn't stand for this.] This island is separated from the mainland, so there's really no way to regulate things, except for creating our own police force. There are plenty who are trying to stop these activities, I promise you. [He's trying to calm the man down, right now, his powers activating without his knowledge.]

[As Francis talks, the adrenaline starts to leave Domon's system. Unfortunately, the adrenaline is about the only thing that's keeping him going at this point. He seems to sway slightly, but fortunately he was already standing by one of the fences surrounding the baseball diamond, and he was able to lean on it for support. He closes his eyes for a moment, using Meikyo Shisui to pull on the last reserves of his strength. When he opens his eyes again the anger is gone, replaced with a look of disgust.] So no we can't get off the island, and other people can't get in. And the police force isn't strong enough to take down these companies. [His voice is somewhat hushed so as not to alert the guards anymore than he already has.]

There are boats that unload supplies, occasionally. Sneaking into one is hard, though, and even if you do manage, the Pull will kill you, eventually.

The problem is there aren't enough officers. Mais, they're trying, slowly... are you all right, cher? Do you need some help?

[He's still not entirely convinced about this Pull thing, but he lets it go]

I guess not a lot of people would want to fight against companies that are that powerful. ...Huh? Oh, I'm fine... [He's not fine, but he won't admit it. Especially with the SERO guards so close by.]
