[With her phone positioned on her bed, the video feed starts with a rather dynamic worm's eye view of Sarina zipping up her plug suit. Don't get too excited though; the zipper was only far enough down to expose the neck and collarbone. Not quite realizing that her position was a bit out of the NV's viewpoint, anyone watching will notice that the

It's actually pretty funny how much fuss people will make over a bit of rain. I mean, these parasols -- i mean the umbrellas you guys have now are pretty convenient.
Glad to hear you're keeping out of trouble.

They are nice, but it shouldn't be such a big deal if you can't get a hold of one!
[brow raise.] The better question is if you're keeping out of trouble, heheh!

[ A playful mock huff. ] You should be asking that of my roommate. He's gotten in more trouble in this past month than I have~!
Reply
[No, not when you were killing them.]
Heehee! I've gathered that.
[pause.] But don't worry! Hahaha! I'll make sure you don't lose him, okay?

That's sweet of you, Sarina, thanks. But you should look after yourself too. I don't want to lose you or any of my other friends either.

Don't worry about me -- heehee -- I'm not going to die anytime too soon. Nor am I never going to go back...if I can help it.

Well that's just what friends do, you know. They worry about each other. [ ... she's a bit torn herself. She wants to go home, sure, but mostly because she missed Mandy - even her dad. And Lucinda was there, and Lucinda could break this stupid curse. But ... never being able to come back here to see her friends...? ]
I don't know if any of us will have that choice in the end.

Maybe not, but if they did somehow fix it, maybe we'd be able to stay in the world, but go beyond the barriers that surround the city. Eeheehee...wouldn't that be nice?

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind being able to visit home or come back here too, as an alternative.

[She paused awkwardly. Right, even if that was the typical response of her dearly departed friend, no one but her could really respond to that.]
So, uh has everything been going all right for you, at work? Haha? No one's pressuring you, or anything?

At work -... they probably think of me as undependable really. I ... make sure to be somewhere else when anyone from the company shows up, if I can help it.
If I thought it'd work, I'd try getting rid of them with a little trollish, but I don't know enough of the language. If I had my book from home I could at least teach myself.

[Yep, Ella. This is her weird way of trying to make people feel better.]
Trollish? Eehee? They don't have any of those sorts of books at the library?
Reply
If nothing else I can be there to get them out of the way too, if they were knocked out.
I haven't found any yet, which is a surprise. Of course there's no saying it's the same language I'm familiar with.

[She...could identify with that issue, actually.]
That's too bad. For a little while there, everyone was making it seem you could find anything in the libraries around here.
