Don't get too excited though; the zipper was only far enough down to expose the neck and collarbone. Not quite realizing that her position was a bit out of the NV's viewpoint, anyone watching will notice that the ( Read more... )

Made of sugar...?

[She seemed confused for a moment, but it dawned on her after a little while.]

Oh! Heheh! You mean the people? Teehee! It sure seemed like it, for how desperate they were to get out of the rain!

Mm! The weather's got much nicer, don't you think? I mean, there's rain and all, but it's not so cold... and it's nice that the days are getting longer finally too.

I was pretty used to the cold, even before coming here. Heheh -- even before I became a soldier. Norway was never the warmest place around.

But still! I'm glad that I can start wearing different things! And it'll be nice for those who are afraid of the monsters, in the night!

I'll admit that I was frightened of them for a very long time -- to the point where I wouldn't even walk outside, after the day time. Heehee...but once you fight them a few times, it's not as bad.

How do you fight, anyhow?

With, ah guns. Heehee...

[Sorry Rin, she wasn't quite sure if she can trust you yet. At least she wasn't straight out lying, though.]

Mm... [It's all good. She's going to take it at face value, anyway.]

Are they hard to learn to use?

They take a little getting used to. Heheh -- I had to start out using two hands just to grip one tiny gun. But after a few years? You become accustomed to the feel of it, within your grip.

... I wonder if I could learn, here.

[pause.] I could try to teach you, if you wanted. I'm not the best teacher around though, just so you know.

Heh, again I don't know if I'd make any sense -- haha -- but sure! Anytime you've got free time and I've got free time, I can try to show you the ropes.

Is it very hard to learn?

Not...really? [She paused.] It depends, I guess. Heeheehee...the shooting part isn't so difficult; aiming and adjusting to the force of the gunshots can be a bit tricky though.
