[ WHY IS HE HERE? Who knows. Probably because he just got off work and he's got nothing better to do than check out the new place Spike is working before he goes back home. But Peter isn't a bar kind of guy in the first place, especially not a vampire-bar kind of guy, so when he finally actually makes it to a bar stool, he's a little bit wide-eyed.

Peter sure does feel... really out of place. ] How's your first night on the job been?

[He goes a little wide-eyed himself at the appearance of a wild Peter. But then he's shrugging to cover, side-stepping the question.]

Doesn't seem like your kinda place, huh, Pete? Surprised to see you here.

Yeah, well- [ Maybe he'd be better at acting all nonchalant if he wasn't trying to sink even lower down into his barstool. ] Not a lot of bars are really my kind of place.

[oh Peter. Spike is halfheartedly rubbing at a glass with his towel.]

Yeah, came here just to see me then? How touching.

[ but how touched is he?

Okay but no seriously this is just Peter rn. ]

Yeah, sure. How long do you think you're gonna last at this place?

Wouldn't even be here if it were up to me. No one'd be surprised if I didn't last the week. [flash of a grin, but then it's gone. this place is seriously painful for him. anything for the job, right?]

[ Peter sighs, glancing over shoulder for a second before turning back to face Spike. Yeah, this definitely wasn't his atmosphere, but while he was here he might as well bother Spike considering he seemed to be having a rough time of it. ]

Do you at least get any employee discounts? [ he's cringing, but it's about the only ~hopeful~ thing he can come up with. ]

[He shrugged, pouring himself a shot of Jack.] I'm taking the liberty to say I deserve one. [he lifts it once to Peter before downing the liquor]

[ He almost laughs, shaking his head. ] Something tells me no one's gonna notice around here.

Don't notice much of anything, around this place. [He leans on the counter, nodding to Peter] So. What do you think.

[then shakes his head not a second later] Right terrifying, innit.

[ Peter gives another glance around the place, slower this time while trying to keep as inconspicuous as possible. He doubted anybody in the crowd would appreciate being stared at. ]

Definitely wouldn't come here just for kicks. Don't really think I fit in with the rest of the crowd.

[Except that's where Peter would be wrong. They wanted to be watched; to get noticed.]

Because you don't have fangs or a deathwish?

[ Peter's just flat out avoiding making eye contact with anyone, believing that to be the safest bet. ]

Something like that? I don't really want fangs anytime soon, either, and i'm pretty sure they've got this song on repeat. Doesn't it get old?

Not even a good bloody song, either.

Seems like the rest of the vampires like it. [ now he's just teasing. ]
