Tess made me think about communication styles...
For me it goes like this in regards to my preferred communication methods.
1. Face to face - preferably touching. Depending on the moment there might be talking or companionable silence.
2. Phone - I can hear the tone of your voice to understand your meaning.
3. Email or blogging - Pro: I have time to organize my thoughts and present them in a logical manner.
Con: I am sometimes impatient with this method or might get tired of typing. Will more than likely ask if I can call you.
Blogging's fun because it's my blog and I can be as random or as organized as I like.
4. Chat - With me there can be a lot of room for the conversation to go off track. I've had some chats where I've come out feeling very scratched up. Even so, there's been no long lasting harm done. I've been practicing my chat though, and must say I am getting more proficient at that mode of communication. With some folks it's easier than others.
