Alice Visions in Canon

Does anyone know where specifically in canon it discusses Alice's past and her visions of finding Jasper and joining the Cullens? I know there is at least one mention where Edward says something about the visions savings Alice. Maybe it's in BD or MS?

Can anyone help me find it?
