Au fond de son ame, cependant...

Sometimes, when I get frustrated at work because I don't know everything I should know, or I look out the big bay windows and think of home, I remind myself I'm here to learn and things will take time. In the meantime, I can giggle with the silly British girl, avoid the stern German boy, flirt with the hot Frenchman and discuss with the quiet Spanish lady.

Also, one of my friends pointed out he's never seen anyone flirt like I do. I'm quite the natural coquette, he said. Then we argued over whether it was truly wrong or not to lie about my age. I'm creating a suitable profile for myself. I'll show Montpellier what's what.

Affairs are like secrets: they're best when hidden from the world. That's why nobody tells me any secrets.

Missing everyone back at home. Wish you all could come and see me here for a while. We could go to the sundreanched beaches and flirt with all the hot guys. Life, in the end, is only as interesting as you make it.

Also, the French have christened me with a new name: Virginie. Yes, this is a girl's name, not that that would ever annoy me. They call me that because I'm from there.

Oh, my France.
