So I’ve decided to return…
Facebook was draining all my time, like it can just about anybody’s and I was really feeling no more connected to my friends with it than I had ever felt without it. If anything, it just made me feel more disconnected and spaced out. Worst of all was all the people from high school who I never really talked to back then who all of a sudden would add me, and I’d either talk to them once or twice, but generally not at all. Or I’d leave them comments and whatnot but I’d never receive any back. So I decided I was bailing. Already, even though I haven’t completely left, I feel like I have more time to focus back on the more important and interesting things I missed, like my art, and live journal, and actually e-mailing, communicating, or even *GASP!* CALLING PEOPLE! Bye Bye “social networking” …you never managed to actually connect me to the people in my life any better than the telephone or IM.
Granted, I still do have myspace. I guess a guy’s gotta have one lame place to hang online.
