A few random things...
So, I haven't written in a while, but I decided I would write a few things that I have been meaning to get out (and one thing that I only just discovered about myself tonight).
For starters, I've decided I really do not like when people use an abundance of periods in their writing. Kind of like this...................... since it's dumb................ and way too much........................ but it's okay, because periods get across my point................... of not being able to form a full sentence............................ because my brain doesn't work so well you see........................ it's slow........... and can only register one thing at a time...............
Isn't that annoying?!
I probably shouldn't look through random LJs. It drives me to tears.
Also! I've decided that I enjoy immensely when writers give titles to their chapters, such as "In Which So-and-So Discovers Cocaine". Now, that was just an example, most writers put it much more eloquently. I've only come across a couple who do this, however, one being Neil Gaiman. Have I ever expressed how much I adore this man as a writer? He's completely brilliant. Steve was kind enough to get me Stardust for my birthday, and Cody got me Anansi Boys and you have NO idea how much it pains me to not be able to start either of these books because school is getting in the way. I'd like to think I would start one anyway, but I don't need the distraction... What a sad life I lead.
Speaking of school, can I just put it out into the open how much I DIDN'T pay attention in my classes today? My mind was wandering constantly. I normally don't do that (I've been trying so hard to pay attention) so this whole day was shot to hell. Sort of. It's not like my mind wandered into hell or anything... quite the opposite. Anyway.
My three hour class? I was fine for the first hour or so, and then we had that break, and then the first half hour of that wasn't too bad, but come 9:00, I was spacing out more and more. That class is bad for that. Most 3 hour classes are, because near the end, you just want it to END, but it won't. It's just craaaawls by. Pure torture. I'm sure that's why they came up with those 3 hour classes. To torture us.
So yeah, other than all that, I can't think of much else to say... Guess I'll wrap it up here. *waves*
