Audience Participation!
A few years ago, my mother joined the BMG Music Service. Through various accidental orders and just a few purchases made on purpose, our account has built up a large number of free selections; that is, CDs that we have to pay the $3 shipping for.
Since many of you know of my lamentable inability to retain pop culture information, it will not come as a surprise to you that, though I thoroughly enjoy most music, I have no idea what to buy. And we're talking upward of 40 CDs that I have to order before we can close the account.
So, give me a shopping list. What are the CDs you couldn't live without? Remember, they should be worth at least three bucks ;) I like almost everything, and I can listen to snippets before I order, so don't be afraid. Also, don't assume I know anything about names, bands, or people. At least part of my inability to retain these details is that I don't care, so no suggestion is too stupid.
...unless it's a musical, I've already bought out their supply of those and I think I'm one of the only of us who care about those anyway :P
