In fact, were people from other communities to wander here, to my personal journal, I would most certainly be ostracized, mocked, vilified, have several hits taken out on me, and attempts to cyber bitch slap me would most certainly be made.
Then, why, you might ask, am I not posting this "friends only" or at least writing this in code?
Well, most likely, they're not looking, as they're too busy planning Tony Award acceptance speeches they'll never be giving, though, knowing what I know now......shit.....SHE got one! Hell, maybe that's why they're all fired up, realizing that they too, they, the tone deaf and acting-impaired of the world, too can be stars......somehow.
So, who and WHAT the hell am I talking about?
Why, Idina Menzel, of course! She CAN'T act! Now, when I pointed out to some that she royally sucked it up during her performance of "Defying Gravity" from Wickedat the Tony Awards, I got every sort of response from, "She was just nervous because it was a bigger house than she is used to AND she was also on TV." (I'm not EVEN going there again.) I even got a total psycho who claimed something must be wrong with the sound on my television, because she sounded perfect from where this idiot was stalking her in orchestra seating. Apparently, seeing the show 30 or so times from VIP seating can cause rupture of the tympanic membrane, because even the most musically UNinclined among us could tell that was a Baaaaa----, I mean, a bad performance. Oh, there was also the little problem of her hyperventilating throughout it. But, I did get sane responses who told me that Idina Menzel does gasp throughout her performances and that she does hit quite a few bad notes. I'm sorry, but someone in a Broadway show just shouldn't be allowed to suck.
Having now seen the show, I just don't like Idina Menzel. Her acting is good community theater acting, but NOT what I want to see on Broadway, and NOT worthy a Tony. I still like Wicked despite her, but it certainly has its weaknesses.
