SKIRT-ing the issue. i'm not funny. i know.

this weekend in chicago was SO beautiful, i can't even tell you. saturday was for checking out the set of the new batman movie that's filming in chicago (yes. you heard right. christian bale. heath ledger. in chicago. for batman. please put your underwear back on, ladies.), and sunday was for baseball games, hot wings, and beer. yay. :)

as the weather is poised to start getting really really freaking nice, i find myself looking at my closet in the mornings and thinking, "hmm, that's a lot of sweaters." and because i am now PAINFULLY aware of my financial situation (read: i'm poor and am going to have to pay rent soon), i'm looking for less expensive ways to expand my closet. and by this i mean i am pretty much going to live out of things from tar-zhey and old navy. which is fine and dandy although you can put money on the fact that i will be having adulterous thoughts about anthropologie and its pretty pretty things that cost a lot of dollars.

anyway! a few weeks ago, i bought a skirt from old navy, and holy hell it is the most comfortable, flattering thing in the whole world. it is soft and comfy and does not cling to my legs like i thought it would and it was only FIFTEEN DOLLARS. clearly, it is the most perfect skirt imaginable.

HOWEVER! (i am noticing that i start all my paragraphs these days with HOWEVER! and ANYWAY! and i think i need new paragraph-starting material.) i only own the brown version and while it is a really pretty, rich, chocolatey brown, it does not go with as much stuff as i'd like it to. so of course i want to buy one or two more because, hell it will only be THIRTY DOLLARS. but i am ALSO trying to curb my frivolous spending, because...i need to. but i also need skirts. for work. and life and living and so on. or do i?

time for a poll. i can't make my own decisions, so please make them for me.

Poll skirts!
