along for the ride
i was driving back to work from lunch and i saw a lady walking her dogs. she was kind of an older woman, with a very tired expression, and a giant poofy red coat and an equally poofy red hat. in her right hand was a set of leashes, which were clipped to the NEON pink harnesses worn by two, older, heavyset pugs.
in her left hand was the handle to a red radioflyer wagon.
in the wagon were two more older, heavyset pugs wearing harnesses.
ya know that look that dogs get when they're riding in a car, with their heads hanging out of a half-opened window? that's the look that the pugs in the wagon had.
