So I talked to my sister today, Lissy. As a side note, none of you know my sisters, so briefly, I have 2 sisters, 37 and 36. Jenny is 37, Lissy is 36, and they have bore me 3 beautiful nieces. Anyway's, my Mom told me Lissy and her daughter Roma, were ill, and we probably had the same sort of thing. Roma has a double ear infection amonghst other things, but I just assumed Lissy was sick. Well, I called her today while waiting to meet my Dad to goto the game, and she told me she has Pneumonia. I was worried that I had pneumonia, but my doctor said I did not. I'm relieved that she is ok, though, because she is 6 months pregnant, and I wouldn't want anything to happen to my fourth niece. I am assuming, either I had a virus that I gave to them, or they had a virus they gave to me, but regardless, it doesn't explain this cough I have had if they gave it to me. I'm assuming, though, that I got some form of virus that attacked my system, and I am still fighting it off. I am glad that I do not have pneumonia.
I am feeling better today, although still out of it. I haven't been sleeping, which is the biggest problem. I was tired tonight, but I went to the gym and then have been working on this paper that is due at 3:15 tomorrow. OYE. I also have been doing some more 3D work, which is pleasing me. I am finishing up this hologram, which is going to look very cool, especially when rendered using HDRI. I am hoping to get some webspace soon, because hosting on Imageshack is the pitz, and as I get more into Photography, I don't want to depend on sites like Flickr.
Oh and I'm going to be getting a retail job. I have some things going on that are preventing me from getting a "real" full time job, but I need some extra cash, and working for pops is not cutting it.
I'd like to end with an observation. Southsiders, in general, are assholes. I went to the White Sox Red Sox game, and it was a great game. Both teams played very well, and the Red Sox would have won, (the perfect birthday gift to me), but Tony Graffanino made an error that turned the game. Anyway's, I don't expect any of you to understand my love for the Red Sox, especially since most of you who even follow baseball are Cubs fans, and 95% of Cubs fans aren't really baseball fans :P. I am veering off topic. The Red Sox, and the Yankees are probably the bitterest rivals in sports, next to perhaps Rugby or Football (soccer) teams in Europe. When I went to Yankees games wearing a Red Sox hat, I did expected to be booed, jeered, yelled at, because our two teams have been bitter rivals for 80 years. The White Sox, have done absolutely nothing, since 1919, and should have no bad blood with the Red Sox, and yet, I was jeered, yelled at, and had I not been kept in check, probably would have gotten in a fight with someone at US Cellular Field. I had people telling me I suck, that the Red Sox suck, pointing at me, waving their hats at me, jeering and booing to the point that they looked like they would give themselves an embalism. I have never experienced this before in my entire life, and it was really nausiating.
I have no problem with rooting for your team, although Cubs fans aren't really baseball fans, they still are fans of their team, but they are respectful fans. Not once, has anyone ever disrespected me, or made me feel like they disliked me, because I am a Red Sox fan. People at Cubs games, have often said to me, "Oh I am a huge Cubs fan, but I love the Red Sox too, they are great." and we have a jovial time at the park. Yet at US Cellular, the fans are rabid, and they all look like mobsters. I was sitting and eating before the game, and I honestly saw at least 5 people who looked like they could be on the Sopranos. After the error by Tony Graffanino tonight, around the 8th inning, I put my hat on inside out, which is reffered to as a rally hat, and I had someone behind me yell, "Your rally hat isn't going to do anything for you now asshole". I was baffled that anyone could be so rude, especially in the SECOND game of the ALDS. Talk to me when the Red Sox are on their way home, or when you are celebrating winning the World Series.
I want to point out the following to any White Sox fans, even if you never read this:
1. The White Sox have not won a World Series since 1917
2. The White Sox have not been to the world series since 1959
3. The White Sox almost did not make it to the playoffs, and blew a 15 game cushion in first place.
4. No one cares about the White Sox unless they win.
5. Your Manager, Ozzie Guillen, said on September 14, 2005 - "We really flat-out stink."
6. And last but not least, the Red Sox came back from 0-2 last year, to beat the Athletics, came back from 3-1 against the Yankees, and won the next 8 games to defy history and win the World Series.
7. IT 'AINT OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER!
Learn when to brag, have some dignity, and some respect for others. It's ok to be enthusiastic and supportive, it is not ok to be rude and disrespectful. You'll look like idiots in the end.
